About My Art
My artwork captures the exquisite beauty in nature and human emotions. Swirls, ellipses and live movement are influences. Driven by memories of loving, gifted, generous, accomplished human beings, it is those memories that inspire me to communicate beauty to the viewer. I love moving between mediums and often combining into mixed media works, especially digital painting on a brightly colored photo. Still a fan of pencil to paper, I also love monotype printmaking, acrylic emulsion painting, image transfer onto ceramic tile, and am exploring the art of glass mosaics.
During the process of creating a new piece, or continuing work on a work in progress my active thoughts are about a loved person, pet or place. My gratitude is pondered while I consider beautiful humanitarian gestures, conflicting human emotions, loss, and actions in the world.
I love my studio time and time in local classes among other artists seeking to convey their special message.
